For IDM Agents all types of remote sessions show up in this page with a type of application. § Remote Browser session - enables you to connect, through your local Internet browser, to an asset whose Firewall-Friendly Agent is configured for remote browser sessions. All remote browser sessions configured for a selected asset are shown in the Remote Sessions table with a type of browser. IDM Agents do not support this type of remote session. § Remote 'Desktop' or 'VNC' session - enables you to share to a remote asset's screen or desktop, for example to permit remote administration or operator education using that remote asset. To use Axeda Desktop Viewer, the asset must have a Firewall-Friendly Agent and the Axeda Desktop Server installed; to use Axeda Access Viewer through the Assets tab, the asset must have the Axeda Access Remote application installed. To use the VNC Viewer for remote sessions with assets running IDM Agents, the asset must have the VNC Desktop Server installed.
